Our story

Young people from Mongolia, India, Brazil, and Taiwan first initiated the idea of Agrolly starting in April of 2020 in New York City. The first pilot run was successfully conducted in Mongolia among local family farmers in June 2020. Later that year, Agrolly won the Grand Prize in IBM's Call for Code 2020 global tech challenge competing against more than 400,000 developers from 179 countries. The Agrolly Mongolia team was formed in June of 2020 to develop a tailored app to Mongolia. The team worked closely with the local farmers in rural Mongolia to identify the region-specific features that needed to be included in the Agrolly Mongolia app. The team built its own local company called Nomads Agritech Innovations based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
